Shoot 2 - The Vale
In Hartland the Vale is known well as a local treasure consisting of walking paths/public space, a place i visited and played in frequently as a child, went to for school P.e lessons and still visit to this date whilst walking my dogs. Over the years the terrain has changed and been marked by walking routes and cattle grazing/farming. Rope swings and nets/hammocks are my memories of this place.
For this shoot i planned to capture wide open spaces and revert back to my usual work style following the terrain and shape of the land. i think i also need to re-visit the area with more film as there was still so much i wanted to shoot!!

some of the images work better than others, the open spaces with the walking tracks are stronger than the other images that have more detail/content, i imagine these images in colour there would definitely be a contrast of colours and too much green which would overrun the image. All images have good sense of depth and texture. Even diffusing that issue with the use of black and white film, the 'green' tones are so similar everything seems to blur into itself. i need to consider this through further shoots, and take a step back from the subject thinking more carefully about composition.
