Born in Denmark, Per Bak Jensen has given the landscape photography a new dimension in form of metaphysical impression. His work area Scandinavia involves some of the most visually pleasing landscapes in the world and his choice of subject, color and lighting has only confirmed the beauty of these places. Jensen doesn’t believe in post-production retouching work and depends completely on composing the image through his camera. He is famous for selecting some of the most interesting subjects for his photograph including twigs and corns. A pioneer of modern contemporary photography Jensen’s works include photographs of ‘Near and Far’ and ‘Pure Nature’ series. Jensen has also published a few books on photography including ‘Forseelse’ and “Stedernes Væsen: The Being of Places”. His isolated subjects create a sense of loneliness and solitude. He has been awarded with Eckerberg’s Medal in 2005.
