Tutorial - Jim
- What are you trying to say? concept?
- Go home 2 x weeks - shoot 8-10 films - different locations
- Buy a clam shell portfolio box for small A4 prints - www.silverprint.co.uk
- Book - Blurb - how many pages? thickness? include writing or not? THINK
- Final Prints - What size? how are you going to present them?
Reflection:
At this point i have still been unable to return home to complete my shoot's, i have so many ideas and plans but have been unable to organise the time of which to return home for such a length of time amongst my studies and commitments. I arranged this tutorial with Jim to have a finalisation of my plans for when i do go on shoot and discussion over making the book regarding time and quality etc. Jim reassured me and confirmed my ideas and gave me the confidence to go for it, and a lot of advise on where to buy a portfolio box and useful advise when it comes to making my book regarding page thickness/size etc. i have been thinking for a while now as time is ticking on, i don't think i would be able to make a good quality hand made book, and the fact i want good strong images means they will have to be presented in an equally good quality way, the only way I'm going to achieve this is by making my book online via Blurb.
Plans -
Go home next week and SHOOT SHOOT SHOOT - take my plans and improve
carry on with blog/research/anything of interest
research Blurb and figure out what kind of book i want to make size/style/hardback/layout
